Numinbah Valley 21/3

The sky was overcast so I thought heading out into the hinterland for some waterfall photos would be a good idea. I packed all my gear quickly and jumped in the car. Initially I was heading out to shoot Twin Falls in Springbrook National Park, but I never made it that far. I found a cool little creek along the way where this photo was taken. I spent an hour or so here walking around, looking for different angles, and waiting for the light to fade.

The next stop was at Natural Bridge where my camera battery ran out after only a couple hours of shooting. The 5D MkII batteries don’t seem to last very long with live view on. I guess I better buy myself a spare or two.

Nice shot Beau. I dont use the live view – and the batteries last for ages!

Hey Beau, beautiful shot mate. Very tranquil. I love the colour of the water against the greenery.

Live view is good, but when stitching it can also slow down your rate of shooting images if you need to shoot, move and shoot again quickly. I have two spare and one dosent seam to hold is full charge for that long. Bit of a pain in the ass. Nice water movement in this.

Thanks, all.

I avoided using live view while out shooting the other day and the batteries didn’t seem to drain much at all. I noticed the delay when using live view and stitching, Matt. It’s a bit annoying, but I guess it depends what you’re shooting.
