Brindle Creek, Northern NSW 25/3

Brindle Creek in the Border Ranges National Park is one of the most impressive rain forest streams in Australia according to wikipedia. Emily and I spent a couple of hours walking through the rain forest, battling the leeches and other creepy crawlies that call this spot home. I had to balance precariously on one of the boulders in the middle of the stream for this composition, but it was well worth it in the end, I feel.

I have had limited internet connection for the last week, and won’t have it back until next week. We’re in the process of moving, so times are quite busy. Thanks to everyone who continues to read this blog, and I will get back to reading all of yours as soon as possible!

I had been waiting for a nice overcast morning to shoot some of the farmland just out past Canungra for a while now, and this particular morning presented the perfect opportunity. There had been a lot of rain the few days preceding this one, so there was a LOT of water around, and some low cloud hovering in and around the mountains.

This is a 7 photo stitch and there is a lot of detail in the high resolution copy of this photograph. You can even see a bunch of Kookaburras sitting in the lone tree on the lower right of the scene when viewed at full size.

Gold Coast Hinterland 12/2

I spent a morning out in the Gold Coast hinterland a couple of weekends back while I was waiting for my girlfriend to finish work. It was quite an overcast morning, but still extremely hot, and shortly after I took this sequence of shots it started raining. Anyway, I had spent an hour or so wandering around already so decided to pack up. I ended up with this 7 shot stitch.

The colours in this photo just didn’t seem ‘right’ to me, so I converted to black and white obviously.
