Hi guys,

Last week I was fortunate enough to spend a week on Fraser Island in sunny (besides the first two days we were there) Queensland with Darren and Simon. (Simon’s site is coming soon – bookmark that link)

Lake Mackenzie was a must shoot location while we were on the island, but little did we know when we first started planning the trip that it was closed for construction. We were determined to get in there somehow, and after talking with a tour guide we were advised of a way to sneak in. It involved quite a long walk up a sandy hill (which we ended up doing twice) but it was well worth the effort once we arrived at the lake. We had the lake all to ourselves at one point.

The photo below is from our second trip out to the lake. We realized on our first trip out there that we needed to arrive earlier in the day to see the water at its bluest, so we came back earlier.

It has come to my attention that my site went down while I was away so I do apologize for the lack of updates and responses to comments. I have only just been able to log into the site myself as I’m still having trouble with it at home and can only view it at work when i’m not busy.
